What is the aim?

The Aim is to offer strength, self-esteem and quality of life to breast cancer survivors. Exercise may be the last thing you feel like doing after surgery. You're probably exhausted, you arm may be swollen and painful and adjuvant treatments can make you feel worse. All you want to do is rest. However, recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise and improved quality of life for breast cancer survivors.

I am dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive body image to all breast cancer survivors.

With the exercises we aim to facilitate recovery after surgery  to:

·       Restore and maintain your upright posture and balance

·         Increase strength and flexibility to involved areas of the body

·         Prevent formation of frozen shoulder

·        Relieve stiffness in neck, back, chest and shoulders.

·        Provide you with knowledge of body mechanics related to your specific needs  and physical condition.

  • Reduce physiological and emotional stress
  • Improve appearance
  • Improve lymphatic drainage with proper breathing techniques
  • Enhance core strength and endurance

·          And most of all, increase your fighting spirit

  Where will we start

·         We restore strength and flexibility to to particular joints and muscle groups that have become weak and inflexible as a result of surgery. We focus on your shoulders, neck, chest and the rotator cuff.

·         Then we start to train the  abdominals, lower back and lower extremities

·         It is important to realise that everyone's physical condition and recovery will vary.
